Introduction

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires a minimum of four additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school, and treats a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial region. As a dual-degree Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Sidal practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant placement and wisdom tooth removal to orofacial pain, facial injuries, and corrective jaw surgery. This also includes procedures designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Dr. Sidal is on the Medical Staff of Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, and performs select outpatient and inpatient surgeries there.
